Separating the Powerful from the Busy
As the owner or influencer in your organization you have an important job: Make the company successful. Tomorrow will have 24 hours in it and you have 24+ hours of tasks to complete before your day timer looks back at you with a devious laugh. It’s time you look back at your to-do list and announce that you are the winner today.
AMPLIFY works with two types of people: powerful owners, managers, and professionals (“OMPs”)… and OMPs who want to be powerful. This solution is not for spectators. It requires the ability to take charge, take action, and yes, take credit. Because the gateway to real Profit Impact is knowing how to bend it. And today, I’m handing you a D-word you can use immediately.
You probably guessed words like
- “determination”,
- “drive”,
- “dedication”,
- or maybe a locker-room “Do it!” chant whispered into the mirror.
You’re not wrong. Those are the muscles that got you here. You wake up before the sun. Your thumb hits your phone before your lips touch coffee. You run the extra mile, then add a bonus block. Your lunch-hour yoga class fears your glutes. You’ve refused to quit even when the fuel gauge was screaming empty. You already own the motivational poster.
Now it’s time to add one more D-word to the wall: DELEGATE.
The power users I’ve worked with come from nearly every business vertical imaginable: healthcare, automotive, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, education, non-profit, corporate services, and beyond. Different industries, same trait. The people at the top don’t try to do everything. They decide what not to do.
They have tough decisions, mountains of data, real problems, and even more powerful people holding them accountable. They protect their time like it’s oxygen. They focus on needle-moving work and delegate the rest using a simple framework:
- Identify expectations
- Communicate the goal
- Summarize the resources
That’s it. No drama. No micromanaging marathons. This is where Profit Impact quietly explodes.
Money almost always travels through people. Optimize how you communicate, and you optimize results. My power clients have even adopted a phrase that tells me everything I need to know about their mindset: “Get Tim to do it.” Translation: ready… aim… fire… decision made.
Albert Einstein once said, “Why clutter my brain with useless information when I can surround myself with people who do it for me.” Harsh? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely.
You must decide which jobs are DIY (Do It Yourself) and which are DIFM (Do It For Me). I often tell aspiring power OMPs this: “I have a tool shed full of tools. That doesn’t make me a contractor. Sure, I could build an addition onto my home. But a professional will build it better, stronger, smarter, and it probably won’t leak during the first bad storm.” The better choice is for me to DIFM to a contactor who lives and breathes sawdust and eats nails for breakfast.
The internet is overflowing with DIY solutions. But delegation is how leaders scale. Your time evaporates. Money can be replaced.
That’s why delegating your AMP tools (Advertising, Marketing, Promotions) to a professional matter. Companies like ((((( AMPLIFY ))))) have ink stains on our fingers and burn marks on our knuckles. Companies like ours have invested the time so you can invest your focus where it counts, building your company’s profit impact.
Go fill that oversized water bottle or spill another few splashes of scotch in that glass. Make a list of the fires you need to put out. And if any of them involve building sales, motivating employees, or moving the money needle…”Get Tim to do it”.

Happy delegating. I look forward to helping you look better than your competitors.
